Ah yes, the Brothers Grimm. Ripe for parody indeed. But for true fairy tale mischief I would recommend Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes, and Rhyme Stew. They are full to the brim of hilarious wordplay and violence. Fairy tales the way kids ought to read them.
